Salina Canoy, a founding member of McClain & Canoy, LLC, has more than 10 years’ experience working with business entities of all sizes and across many industries. She has represented Fortune 100 companies, start-ups, private equity funds, national and regional banks, healthcare organizations, and nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Canoy's professional background includes large law firm practice and in-house experience. Her major transactional work has included representing public and private companies in merger and acquisition transactions, private equity offerings, and venture capital and debt financings ranging from $5 million to $750 million. She also has experience navigating corporate governance issues, forming entities and reorganizing subsidiaries, and advising on regulatory matters. Ms. Canoy has a particular interest in business operations, and when not practicing law, manages the day-to-day affairs of McClain & Canoy. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Canoy began her career in corporate communications.
Ms. Canoy keeps busy outside of work exploring Midwest forest preserves with her husband and two young children, and planning grander travel when that no longer involves car seats on airplanes.
